The Galax Maroon Tide volleyball team (Galax, VA), went down 2-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA)

The Maroons (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record.

Next, the Maroon Tide encounter the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 2. Galax will attempt to move on its 3-10 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over North Stokes (Danbury, NC).
