Hillsboro Spartans (Hillsboro, OR) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Canby Cougars (Canby, OR), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans face the Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs (Milwaukie, OR) in a 5A Northwest Oregon challenge, on Monday, October 2. Hillsboro will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record.

The Cougars now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Putnam for a 5A Northwest Oregon challenge on Monday, October 2. Canby will face a Kingsmen team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Wilsonville (Wilsonville, OR). The Kingsmen record now stands at 1-6.
