In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Genoa-Kingston Cogs soccer squad scored a close 5-1 triumph over the Marengo Indians.
The Cogs (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Westminster Christian (Elgin, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Westminster Christian nudged Schaumburg Christian (Schaumburg, IL), 7-0, in a league battle.
The Indians (3-16) will now prepare for their battle against Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL). The Chargers come into the non-league battle with a 8-10 record.
