Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI) in a Division 3 challenge, on Saturday, September 30. Scituate will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Mounties enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 0-0 league Middletown (Middletown, RI).

The Panthers now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host St. Raphael Academy for a Division 3 challenge on Saturday, September 30. Johnston will confront a Saints team coming off a 4-1 league win over Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI). The Saints record now stands at 3-2.
