The Republic Tigers softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Carthage Tigers to 7 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Republic improves its record to 10-10 on the year. The Tigers travel to Camdenton (Camdenton, MO) to clash with the Lakers in a non-league game on Friday, September 29. The Lakers come into the game with a record of 14-11. Camdenton won 14-4 in their recent non-league game against Hillcrest (Springfield, MO)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Neosho Wildcats (Neosho, MO) in a Class 4 District 12 game, on Tuesday, October 3. Carthage will attempt to improve on its 13-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 23-5 record after their 12-6 league win over McDonald County (Anderson, MO).
