Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hart County Bulldogs (Hartwell, GA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 9-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin County for a 3A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Stephens County will face a Lions squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA). The Lions record now stands at 18-3.

With the loss, Hart County falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a 3A Region 8 challenge on Monday, October 2. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 16-8. Hebron Christian Academy won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Franklin County (Carnesville, GA)
