The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) and the visiting Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), saw Ballard's volleyball squad beat Carlisle by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Ballard upgrades its record to 17-6 on the year. The Bombers host Boone (Boone, IA) to play the Toreadors in a Raccoon River bout on Monday, October 2. The Toreadors go into the bout with a record of 8-16.

The Wildcats now own a 14-7 record. They play next when they travel to Greene County for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. Carlisle will play a Rams squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Roland-Story (Story City, IA). The Rams record now stands at 10-7.
