The Wayne Falcons held off the visiting Chariton Chargers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Falcons now have a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Twin Cedars for a non-league test on Thursday, September 28. Wayne will confront a Sabers team coming off a 2-0 league win over Diagonal (Diagonal, IA). The Sabers record now stands at 8-13.

The Chargers (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Rockets enter the South Central test with a 15-7 record. In their last test, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont was nudged by Newton (Newton, IA), 2-1, in a non-league test.
