In Thursday's league battle, the host Charles J. Colgan Sharks volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Forest Park Bruins.

The Sharks (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Gainesville (Gainesville, VA). The Cardinals come into the non-league battle with a 5-7 record.

Next, the Bruins clash with the Gar-Field Red Wolves (Woodbridge, VA) in a Cardinal battle, on Tuesday, October 3. Forest Park will attempt to advance on its 7-4 season record. The Red Wolves come into the battle with a 1-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Woodbridge (Woodbridge, VA).
