In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Coalinga Horned Toads volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Strathmore Spartans.
The Horned Toads (14-8) will now prepare for their battle against Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Rough Riders come into the non-league battle with a 8-11 record. In their last battle, Roosevelt nudged Torres (Madera, CA), 3-1, in a league battle.
