Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) in a 2A Area 8 match, on Thursday, September 28. Union County will attempt to advance on its 9-23 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 7-17 record after their 2-1 league loss to Union County (Blairsville, GA).

With the loss, East Jackson drops to 14-13 on the campaign. The Eagles host Athens Academy (Athens, GA) to clash with the Spartans in a 2A Area 8 match on Thursday, September 28. The Spartans come into the match with a record of 7-17. Athens Academy lost 2-1 in their recent league match against Union County (Blairsville, GA)
