In Thursday's non-league contest, the East Marion Eagles (Columbia, MS) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS), by a margin of 3-0.
Next up, the Eagles battle the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 2. East Marion will attempt to better on its 19-5 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 17-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Salem (Tylertown, MS).
With the loss, Lawrence County drops to 10-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Columbia (Columbia, MS) to battle the Wildcats in a Class 4 Region 7 contest on Tuesday, October 3. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 7-14.
