In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Golden Sierra Grizzlies volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Esparto Spartans.

The Grizzlies (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Rio Vista (Rio Vista, CA). The Rams come into the Sierra Delta League battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Rio Vista achieved victory over San Juan (Citrus Heights, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Highlands Scots (North Highlands, CA) in a Sierra Delta League battle, on Tuesday, October 3. Esparto will attempt to advance on its 2-10 season record. The Scots come into the battle with a 9-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Vacaville Christian (Vacaville, CA).
