Illinois High School Volleyball - Pinckneyville over Frankfort

September 28, 2023: West Frankfort, IL 62896

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL) and the host Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL), saw Pinckneyville's volleyball squad beat Frankfort by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Pinckneyville upgrades its record to 15-6 on the year. The Panthers host DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL) to play the Indians in a Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi bout on Tuesday, October 3. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 19-9. DuQuoin won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Benton (Benton, IL)

The Redbirds now own a 6-19 record. They play next when they travel to Marion for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. Frankfort will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Cahokia (Cahokia, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-12.
