In Thursday's league battle, the host Gervais Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Kennedy Trojans.

The Cougars (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Santiam (Mill City, OR). The Wolverines come into the 2A Tri-River battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Santiam achieved victory over Willamina (Willamina, OR), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Colton Vikings (Colton, OR) in a 2A Tri-River battle, on Monday, October 2. Kennedy will attempt to advance on its 1-14 season record. The Vikings come into the battle with a 1-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to Delphian (Sheridan, OR).
