The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA) and the visiting Whittier Cardinals (Whittier, CA), saw La Serna's volleyball squad beat Whittier by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, La Serna upgrades its record to 15-12 on the year. The Lancers host Schurr (Montebello, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, September 29. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 17-6. Schurr won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Alhambra (Alhambra, CA)

The Cardinals now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host California for a Del Rio bout on Tuesday, October 3.
