The Rural Retreat Indians volleyball team (Rural Retreat, VA), was dropped 3-1 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA)

The Rebels (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwood (Saltville, VA). The Panthers enter the Hogoheegee challenge with a 15-4 record. In their last challenge, Northwood defeated Honaker (Honaker, VA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians encounter the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 2. Rural Retreat will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Bears enter the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA).
