The Bulldogs now hold a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Portales for a 4A District 4 bout on Thursday, October 3. Artesia will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Rams record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Lovington moves to 1-11 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, September 30. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Ruidoso won 5-0 in their recent non-league bout against Portales (Portales, NM)
