New Milford Knights (New Milford, NJ) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Leonia Lions (Leonia, NJ), 5-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, New Milford advances its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Paramus (Paramus, NJ) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league test on Monday, September 30. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 3-5. Paramus won 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Dumont (Dumont, NJ)

The Lions now have a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Park Ridge for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 1. Leonia will clash with a Owls team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Saddle River Day (Saddle River, NJ). The Owls record now stands at 2-6.
