In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs ice hockey team scored a close 4-1 victory over the Blaine Bengals.

The Zephyrs (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Andover (Andover, MN). The Huskies go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record.
