Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME), 5-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Gardiner moves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Mount Abram (Strong, ME) to clash with the Roadrunners in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 2. The Roadrunners come into the test with a record of 5-2. Mount Abram lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME)

The Warriors now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Winslow for a Class B - North test on Tuesday, October 1. Nokomis will clash with a Black Raiders team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Black Raiders record now stands at 3-3.
