Nebraska High School Softball - Ord succumbs to Polk County

September 28, 2024: Stromsburg, NE 68666

In Saturday's non-league test, the Polk County Slammers (Stromsburg, NE) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Ord Chanticleers (Ord, NE), by a tally of 17-7.

Next, the Slammers clash with the Aquinas Monarchs (David City, NE) in a C District test, on Tuesday, October 1. Polk County will attempt to advance on its 14-12 season record. The Monarchs go into the test with a 16-12 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Lakeview (Columbus, NE).

The Chanticleers (5-16) will now prepare for their test against Cozad (Cozad, NE). The Haymakers go into the non-league test with a 8-14 record. In their last test, Cozad was routed by Chadron (Chadron, NE), 11-7, in a league test.
