With the triumph, South Shelby improves its record to 14-7 on the year. The Cardinals host Centralia (Centralia, MO) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Monday, September 30. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 16-3. Centralia won 13-5 in their recent non-league game against McDonald County (Anderson, MO)

The Bulldogs now hold a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Glasgow for a non-league game on Thursday, October 3. Sturgeon will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, MO). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 12-7.
