The Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) volleyball were victorious over the host West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 15-4 record. They play next when they host Haughton for a Division I District 1 bout on Tuesday, October 1. Byrd will clash with a Buccaneers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Ruston (Ruston, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-13.

With the loss, West Ouachita drops to 5-16 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Northwood (Shreveport, LA) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Monday, September 30. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 16-8. Northwood won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA)
