In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Central Lyon Lions volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Spencer Tigers.

The Lions (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Sibley-Ocheyedan (Sibley, IA). The Generals come into the challenge with a 3-13 record. In their last challenge, Sibley-Ocheyedan was beaten by West Lyon (Inwood, IA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Le Mars Bulldogs (Le Mars, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 28. Spencer will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA).
