Texas High School Volleyball - Pace over Mercedes

Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) and the host Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX), observed Pace's volleyball team top Mercedes by a tally of 3-0.

The Vikings (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX). The Wildcats enter the 5A Region IV District 32 contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Weslaco East was beaten by Rivera (Brownsville, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Tigers meet the Donna Redskins (Donna, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 contest, on Tuesday, October 1. Mercedes will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Redskins enter the contest with a 6-21 record after their 3-0 league loss to Lopez (Brownsville, TX).
