The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) and the visiting Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC), saw Rockingham County's volleyball squad beat Ben L. Smith by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Rockingham County upgrades its record to 7-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC) to play the Wildcats in a Mid-State 3A bout on Thursday, September 30. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Eastern Guilford lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against High Point Central (High Point, NC)

The Golden Eagles now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Carver for a non-league bout on Monday, October 4. Ben L. Smith will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-7.
