The Putnam Clippers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Wheeler Lions to 1 in the Clippers non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Clippers now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Killingly for a non-league game on Saturday, October 2. Putnam will meet a Redmen team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Redmen record now stands at 1-9.

The Lions (1-6) will now prepare for their battle against Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Montville achieved victory over Killingly (Killingly, CT), 3-0, in a league battle.
