North Carolina High School Football - Draughn trounces Mitchell

September 29, 2022: Valdese, NC 28690

In Thursday's league match, the host Draughn Wildcats football squad scored a big 56-21 victory over the Mitchell Mountaineers.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a 1A/2A West Conference 42 match, on Friday, October 7. Draughn will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 56-28 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC).

The Mountaineers (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Cougars enter the 1A/2A West Conference 42 match with a 2-4 record.
