St. Croix Central Panthers (Hammond, WI) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Altoona Railroaders (Altoona, WI), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers confront the Rice Lake Warriors (Rice Lake, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 1. St. Croix Central will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.

The Railroaders now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host New Richmond for a Middle Border challenge on Friday, September 30.
