The crowd at Thursday's league test between the St. Raphael Academy Saints (Pawtucket, RI) and the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), saw St. Raphael Academy's soccer squad beat Ponaganset by a margin of 5-1.
The Saints now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mount St. Charles Academy for a Division 3 test on Saturday, October 1. St. Raphael Academy will meet a Mounties squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI). The Mounties record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Ponaganset drops to 5-3 on the season. The Chieftains host Middletown (Middletown, RI) to meet the Islanders in a Division 3 test on Monday, October 3. The Islanders come into the test with a record of 3-4. Middletown lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Prout (Wakefield, RI)
