Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs (Winder, GA), 9-6 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson for a 5A Region 8 challenge on Monday, October 3. Eastside will face a Dragons squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA). The Dragons record now stands at 14-10.

With the loss, Winder-Barrow falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Bulldoggs host Loganville (Loganville, GA) to face the Red Devils in a 5A Region 8 challenge on Wednesday, October 5. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 20-5.
