Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting King's Ridge Christian Tigers (Alpharetta, GA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. Mount Vernon will battle a Knights squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Cambridge (Milton, GA). The Knights record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, King's Ridge Christian falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 6. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 13-8.
