The Union County Panthers softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Providence Christian Academy Storm to 1 in the Panthers league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Union County moves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Panthers travel to Banks County (Homer, GA) to clash with the Leopards in a 2A Region 8 game on Tuesday, October 4. The Leopards come into the game with a record of 14-8. Banks County won 19-1 in their recent league game against East Jackson (Commerce, GA)

In their next game, the Storm clash with the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines (Athens, GA) in a non-league game, on Monday, October 3. Providence Christian Academy will attempt to move on its 9-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the game with a 18-6 record after their 8-2 league win over Social Circle (Social Circle, GA).
