Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Phoenix now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dawson County for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. Sonoraville will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to White County (Cleveland, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-18.

With the loss, Southeast Whitfield County falls to 2-15 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Gilmer (Ellijay, GA) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-12. Gilmer lost 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Pickens (Jasper, GA)
