The Draughn Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Avery County Vikings to 1 in the Wildcats league victory on Thursday.

The Wildcats now possess a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison for a Western Highlands 1A/2A game on Monday, October 3. Draughn will meet a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 league win over Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-9.

The Vikings (9-7) will now prepare for their game against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Cougars enter the Western Highlands 1A/2A game with a 9-5 record.
