The Wayne County Yellow Jackets volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting New Hampstead Phoenix to 1 in the Yellow Jackets league victory on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeast Bulloch for a 4A Area 3 game on Wednesday, October 5. Wayne County will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 18-8.

The Phoenix (18-11) will now prepare for their game against Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Indians enter the non-league game with a 6-15 record. In their last game, Vidalia was nudged by New Hampstead (Savannah, GA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
