In Thursday's league battle, the visiting St. Genevieve Valiants volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the St. Monica Mariners.

The Valiants (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Paraclete (Lancaster, CA). The Spirits come into the Camino Real battle with a 16-7 record. In their last battle, Paraclete nudged Sacred Heart of Jesus (Los Angeles, CA), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Mariners clash with the Bishop Amat Lancers (La Puente, CA) in a Camino Real battle, on Tuesday, October 4. St. Monica will attempt to advance on its 7-20 season record.
