    In Friday's non-league match, the host Briarwood Christian Lions football squad scored a good 21-0 victory over the Oak Mountain Eagles.

    In their next game, the Lions clash with the Helena Huskies (Helena, AL) in a 6A Region 3 match, on Friday, October 6. Briarwood Christian will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 6-0 record after their 49-6 non-league win over Jackson-Olin (Birmingham, AL).

    The Eagles (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Hoover (Hoover, AL). The Buccaneers enter the 7A Region 3 match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Hoover dropped by Mountain Brook (Birmingham, AL), 34-24, in a non-league match.
