New Jersey High School Football - Mountain Lakes defeats Verona

In Friday's league match, the visiting Mountain Lakes Lakers football squad scored a good 35-14 victory over the Verona Hillbillies.

In their next game, the Lakers clash with the Whippany Park Wildcats (Whippany, NJ) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 6. Mountain Lakes will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 4-2 record after their 18-7 non-league win over Wallkill Valley (Hamburg, NJ).

The Hillbillies (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ). The Panthers enter the non-league match with a 6-0 record. In their last match, Cedar Grove ran past Newark Collegiate Academy (Newark, NJ), 33-6, in a league match.
