The crowd at Friday's league test between the Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY) and the host Albany Academy for Boys Cadets (Albany, NY), saw Voorheesville's soccer squad get by Albany Academy for Boys by a count of 1-0.

The Blackbirds now hold a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Mohonasen for a Colonial Council test on Saturday, September 30. Voorheesville will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Albany Academy for Boys drops to 5-4 on the season. The Cadets host La Salle Institute (Troy, NY) to meet the Cadets in a Colonial Council test on Monday, October 2. The Cadets come into the test with a record of 6-6. La Salle Institute won 3-0 in their recent league test against Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY)
