Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Branson Pirates (Branson, MO) and the host West Plains Zizzers (West Plains, MO), witnessed Branson's softball squad tip West Plains by a count of 4-1.

The Pirates now sport a 14-12 record. They play next when they host Kickapoo for a Class 4 District 11 match on Saturday, September 30. Branson will meet a Chiefs squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Sherwood (Creighton, MO). The Chiefs record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, West Plains moves to 6-15 on the season. The Zizzers travel to Park Hill South (Riverside, MO) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, September 30. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 9-17. Park Hill South won 17-2 in their recent non-league match against Reeds Spring (Reeds Spring, MO)
