Republic Tigers (Republic, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Camdenton Lakers (Camdenton, MO), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kickapoo for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 30. Republic will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Sherwood (Creighton, MO). The Chiefs record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Camdenton falls to 14-12 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Carl Junction (Carl Junction, MO) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, September 30. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 7-11. Carl Junction lost 8-5 in their recent non-league match against Lee's Summit North (Lee's Summit, MO)
