West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 19-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Perry for a 4A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. West Laurens will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Taylor County (Butler, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 17-4.

With the loss, Griffin falls to 13-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Howard (Macon, GA) to battle the Huskies in a 4A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, October 5. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 10-10.
