Illinois High School Volleyball - East St. Louis can't hold off Mt. Vernon

In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Mt. Vernon Rams volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the East St. Louis Flyers.
The Rams (8-15) will now prepare for their battle against Lutheran (Springfield, IL). The Crusaders come into the non-league battle with a 7-18 record. In their last battle, Lutheran was edged by Nashville (Nashville, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Flyers encounter the Richland County Tigers (Olney, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 30. East St. Louis will attempt to advance on its 0-18 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 6-11 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL).
