In Friday's league contest, the Nipmuc Regional Warriors (Upton, MA) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Hopedale Blue Raiders (Hopedale, MA), by a margin of 3-2.
Next up, the Warriors face the Whitinsville Christian Crusaders (Whitinsville, MA) in a Dual Valley contest, on Monday, October 2. Nipmuc Regional will attempt to better on its 9-0 season record. The Crusaders go into the contest with a 7-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Bethany Christian Academy (Mendon, MA).
With the loss, Hopedale moves to 6-5 on the year. The Blue raiders travel to Douglas (Douglas, MA) to face the Tigers in a Dual Valley contest on Monday, October 2. The Tigers go into the contest with a record of 1-7. Douglas lost 3-2 in their recent league contest against Sutton (Sutton, MA)
Match Summary
What an absolutely FA-nominal match vs Hopedale. An instant classic. Emotions running wild, fans tipping the loudness scale and every point worth its weight in Gold. Heavy weight slug fest with ups and downs, ebbs and flows and no one wanting to blink. Our lady Warriors came out on top, victorious for our ninth straight victory. So many wonderful plays, but none better than the Match point Block from Kayleigh Fountain, who lit it up all night long. It was fitting that she sealed Hopedale fate. We, at Nipmuc, will not forget this one for a very long time.
