Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the visiting Maryville Christian Lions (Maryville, IL), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Explorers (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL). The Crusaders enter the challenge with a 12-2 record.
