Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Courtland Cougars (Spotsylvania, VA) and the host King George Foxes (King George, VA), saw Courtland's volleyball squad nudge King George by a score of 2-1.

The Cougars (8-0) will now prepare for their contest against Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Chancellor got by Caroline (Milford, VA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Foxes meet the James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 30. King George will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the contest with a 2-9 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA).
