The Patrick County Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Galax Maroon Tide to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now have a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Stokes for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 30. Patrick County will play a Vikings team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Galax drops to 11-1 on the campaign. The Maroon tide host Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to play the Spartans in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 30. The Spartans come into the outing with a record of 7-5. Giles won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)
