The Nelson County Governors tipped the host Parry McCluer Fighting Blues volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Governors confront the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, October 2. Nelson County will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Cavaliers enter the game with a 1-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA).

With the loss, Parry McCluer drops to 0-12 on the campaign. The Fighting blues travel to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 7. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Eastern Montgomery lost 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA)
